SCORE!’s September 18th Community Advisory-Action Board Meeting

Meeting Summary

On September 18th, 2023, SCORE! held its latest Community Advisory-Action Board (CAB) meeting at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre. The focus of this meeting was to connect with community voices and partners to hear their input on our progress-do-date and the SCORE! systems map.

We were also honoured to introduce Momina Raza as the CAB’s Community Co-Chair. Momina has lived in Riverdale since 2016 and is looking forward to being a voice for the community through her role as co-chair. In addition, the meeting offered a safe space for members to discuss the barriers that families face in accessing Riverdale’s outdoor spaces.

The children and youth CAB also shared their input, experiences, and feelings towards the SCORE! activities that they participated in over the past few months. They came together to design a representation of this discussion in the form of a visual mosaic that spelled out the word ‘SCORE!’.

The SCORE! team is looking forward to applying the feedback that we received in this meeting to develop future activities and events.
