About the Program
With support from the McMaster Okanagan Office of Health & Well-being, Student Volunteers engage with the McMaster community to improve the health and well-being of all students, staff, and faculty across McMaster campuses and our community. As a Student Volunteer, in addition to helping community members on campus, you can learn health and well-being skills and strategies for your own success, enhance your communication and leadership skills, plus meet other students who share similar interests.
This is a hybrid volunteer program with both online and in-person components. The weekly time commitment is flexible and may vary by week.
Applications are now closed for 2023-2024. Please refer back to this page for future updates.
The Role of Student Volunteers
Student Volunteers are responsible for supporting the initiatives of the McMaster Okanagan Office of Health & Well-being through a variety of activities, such as content creation (ex. video and graphics for social media), outreach (ex. events and promotion), and project support (ex. Bring Your Own Bottle). Student Volunteers can also help connect community members with appropriate resources and supports on campus.
